I've been there a few times now, and I've always had a great experience. I've tried a few different things on the menu, and I've never been disappointed. The food is always well-cooked and flavorful, and the portions are generous. Dinner for a table of 8 on a Tuesday early evening. Service was a little slower than expected, as it wasn't busy, and took around half an hour from ordering to the food arriving. Friendly staff. Potato wedges - perfect, great seasoning and crispy with a fluffy filling. Good size portions of sour cream and sweet chilli. Fried chicken burger - chips are fine but disappointing after how good the wedges are. Plenty of our group had chips left over. The burger was great; crispy, juicy, fresh apple slaw. Vegan salt and pepper eggplant - way too many chillis that the flavour was completely overpowered. Update for Feb 2023: they don't serve chips or potato wedges as individual serves at the moment due to the shortage of potatoes.

Have been here several times before for both live music and drinks, and have previously enjoyed it, but the bar staff (one person in particular) on this occasion needed a wake up call when it came to their attitude. Felt disrespected, like we were bothering them, even though the place was 75% empty. A drink on a Saturday evening in a pub didn't feel like too outrageous an ask.
